Died 2003

Troy Jenkins was a native of Ridgecrest, California. He joined the Marine Corps at age 17 and, after completing that enlistment, later joined the Army. He trained as a paratrooper, studied Arabic, and served in Afghanistan, where he was grazed by a bullet in 2002. In the Army, he served with B Company, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
