Brian "Cody" Prosser

July 17, 1973 to December 5, 2001

Brian "Cody" Prosser was born in Frazier Park and graduated from Maricopa High School in 1991, where he captained the football team and worked at his father's blacksmith shop. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and trained in military police work at Fort McClellan, Alabama. His first assignment was with the 21st Military Police Company (Airborne) at Fort Bragg. In 1998, Prosser became a Special Forces operator and was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Afghanistan following the September 11 attacks and was killed by friendly fire near Kandahar on December 5, 2001.
